The Race
The Bognor Prom 10k has been running since 1994 is an inclusive, fast, flat course and is perfect for that 10k PB...... just watch out for the wind on the return leg! The race starts at West Park in Aldwick and follows the Bognor Regis esplanade through Felpham, and then returns along the sea front back to West Park.
The race is under the UKA licence (2024-46663 9Provisional)), certified accurate by SEAA and promoted under UK Athletics rules.
All finishers will receive a medal - to be worn with pride!
Toilets are available, but there are no changing or bag storage facilities. Competitors are not allowed to run with dogs, pushchairs or be accompanied by cyclists. Runners are not alowed to use headphones. This is in accordance with UKA rules for races on partially closed roads.
Chip timing is an established feature of the race with race numbers featuring an embedded timing chip. Every competitor who provides a valid mobile phone number on their entry will receive a SMS text of their finishing time.
Standard wheelchairs are welcome and must be of the standard push wheel type with a maximum length of 1.2m in accordance with IPC rules. Please contact the Race Director at Racedirector.Bognor10k@gmail.com for with any questions.
The Route
The Bognor Prom 10k is a flat, high-speed course. The race starts by West Park in Aldwick (with extensive free car parking for competitors), follows the Bognor Regis Esplanade, continues through Felpham and returns along the sea front to finish in West Park.
Height undulation is less than two metres.
Where the public highway is used the road will be closed. The course is marshalled throughout, after 90 minutes any remaining competitors will be moved back onto footpaths to complete the race.
Race Details
When: Sunday 18th May 2025 at 10:00 am
Where: West Park, Bognor Regis, PO21 2RB (Event HQ can be found in the Race Village Marquee in West Park).
Timing: Chip-timed and embedded in the race number.
Entry Fees: £27.00 Affiliated Entry and £29.00 Non Affiliated Entry (inc postage fees) Plus admin fee.
Race Numbers: Race Entries are transferable by the entrant. There is the option to collect your race number from Reynolds Furniture Store Bognor or posted. Race packs will be available from mid-March. Should you transfer your entry after the numbers are processed, it will be your responsibility to get the number to the new competitor. Entries From Late April wil be collection only.
Entries on the Day: None – There are NO entries on race day so sign up here to guarantee a place.
Course: The course is on surfaced roads and comes back along the beautiful seafront promenade. The course is marshalled and clearly signed with arrows and kilometre markers.
Disabled Entrants: Disabled entrants are welcome to take part - please contact the Race Director: racedirector.bognor10k@gmail.com.
Water Stations: Half Way, 8k and at the Finish Line.
Facilities: Toilets are available but there are no changing facilities or bag drop available. Please arrive ready to run wherever possible.
Spectators: Spectators can watch from anywhere on the course.
Safety: Competitors may not run with dogs, cyclists or other wheeled carriages. This road race is run under UKA Rules and runners are not to use headphones during the race.

Accessibility & Car Parking
Due to the success of this event we are allowing more competitors to run, consequently our car park capacity of approximately 750 spaces may become full, we therefore encourage car sharing or the use of public transport. Please arrive early in order not to be disappointed.
There are alternative car parks within a 20 minute walk and we will provide more information on alternative parking and public transport options at www.bognorprom10k.org and on our Facebook page in due course. If you are using our free car park in West Park please follow the local signposted route, not your satnav. If you need to leave the car park during the race, you will be directed west on to Fish Lane. The car park must be vacated by 2.30pm. All vehicles and contents are left at your own risk.
Results, Rewards and Prizes
Results: Results will be posted online within 24 hours of the race. Runners who provide a mobile number will also receive their race time shortly after the race finish.
Medal: All finishers will receive a race medal,.
Prizes: There are prizes awarded for the first 3 Male and Female finishers (£100, £50, £25). The first finisher in the main age categories also receive a cash prizes of £20. There is also a Male and Female team prize up for grabs (awarded to the first three finishers from the same team, based on the lowest aggregate chip times). Oldest Competitor male and female will recieve a prize.
